Annecy-le-Vieux opens up numerous hiking trails on Mont Veyrier, offering panoramic views of Lake Annecy and the surrounding mountains. The Boucle du Mont Veyrier also provides views of Lake Annecy, the Aravis, the Bauges and Mont Blanc.

Culture
The Chapelle de Provins features Gothic architecture. The Romanesque bell tower of Annecy-le-Vieux dates from the 12th century, is listed as a historic monument and has been protected as a historic monument since 1908. During restoration work in 1988, its 15th-century wall paintings were made visible again.
The bronze “républicaine” bell of the Romanesque bell tower was also classified as a historic monument in 1937. Villa Dunand was the residence of the composer Gabriel Fauré during several summers between 1919 and 1924. At Petit-Port, a sublacustrine archaeological site preserves traces of pile dwellings.
During the JEP2026 event at the Romanesque bell tower, visitors could explore the base of the tower on 19 and 20 September 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, and learn about the history of the churches and reused Gallo-Roman blocks.
Nature
The reed beds along the lakeshore provide a habitat for numerous birds. Parc Gabriel Fauré offers views of Annecy and Lake Annecy.
Water
Albigny Beach is open year-round and free to access. It is a spacious grass beach for swimmers and walkers; a cycle path runs nearby. People with reduced mobility can use floating seats free of charge to access the water. There are also showers and toilets, as well as a rowing club nearby.
The lakeside footpath between the Impérial Palace and Veyrier passes Albigny Beach, the reed beds and Petit-Port, and then continues along a section of boardwalks.
The marina of Annecy lies beyond Albigny Beach and is bordered by a redesigned cycle and pedestrian promenade. It has a boat-launching ramp and charging stations for electric boats, with a total of eight berths. Activities possible on Lake Annecy include pedal boating, water skiing, windsurfing, sailing, rowing and scuba diving.
Paths
The Parcours sportif des Glaisins offers a forest trail more than 2 km long, which partly follows the Ruisseau des Fées. It includes sports and fitness trails for people with and without disabilities, rest areas and information in Braille at the entrance.
The Tour du Mont Veyrier cycle route leads uphill from the roundabout at Petit-Port through Annecy-le-Vieux.
