Nature and Activities
Les Roches qui Dansent are a natural formation consisting of 51 sandstone blocks arranged across almost 6 hectares in three roughly concentric circles. They were formed when erosion exposed locally hardened quartz-rich sandstone. Les Roches qui Dansent are easily accessible, open year-round, and admission is free. Climbing is possible on the shaded rocks, ranging from very easy to very difficult. The outlines of millstones that have been removed are still visible on some blocks.
The “Les collines de la Galaure” cycling loop continues to Les Roches qui Dansent and then on to Saint-Barthélémy-de-Vals.

Cuisine
A weekly market takes place on Place de la Forge in Saint-Barthélémy-de-Vals. The market brings together local producers of regional products, including meat products, sausages and other cured meats, cheese, and vegetables. It takes place year-round on Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
History and Culture
Les Roches qui Dansent have been inhabited since at least the Bronze Age. The burials found in the vicinity of Les Roches qui Dansent include some dating from the Celtic period. The Notre Dame de Vals chapel is a prominent site in local history.
Water
There is a “no-kill” fishing section for brown trout on the Galaure in Saint-Barthélémy-de-Vals. Swimming in Lac des Vernets is supervised during the season; fishing is possible there outside July and August.
