Culture
The dolmen of Montbrison-sur-Lez is the only archaeologically identified dolmen in the Drôme département. It dates from the Chalcolithic period (Late Neolithic), around 2500 BC; only a few upright perimeter stones remain, while the capstone has disappeared.
The Château de Pontaujard is a fortified house at the crossing over the Lez. Its origins probably date back to the 12th century.
The Eglise St Blaise was built from 1787 to August 1790 and blessed on 9 January 1791. The “Claire Immaculée” bell was blessed on 18 July 1875 and is still located in an annex of the church, as planned construction projects for a bell tower were not carried out at the end of the 19th century.
Visiting
The chapel of the Prieuré Saint-Blaise is open year-round. The Eglise St Blaise is also accessible daily year-round; visitors should enquire at the town hall.
