Die: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Die has Roman city walls, some of which were built using reused paving slabs, stones from public buildings and column drums. At the same time, Die is considered the birthplace of Clairette de Die, a naturally sparkling white AOP wine.

Culture
The Musée de Die et du Diois is a municipal museum of local history and archaeology and is recognised as a “Musée de France”. It traces human settlement in the Diois from 4500 BC to 1945. In 2026, the museum will remain closed due to construction work.
Exploring the Area
The “À la découverte de Die” route of the Parc naturel régional du Vercors is an easy 4.7-km circular route. The walking time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes; the route includes 80 m of ascent and 91 m of descent. It starts and ends at the Office de tourisme de Die, passes through Die and is accessible by public transport.
On the Drôme, Base de Loisirs Drôme Aventure offers canoe trips of 6 to 18 km from its leisure centre in spring. In summer, there is a 9-km trip starting at Camping de Chamarges; return journeys are by minibus. Drôme Aventure in Die also offers a treetop adventure course.
Food and Tradition
Cave de Die Jaillance produces the AOC sparkling wines Clairette de Die and Crémant de Die, as well as the still AOC wine Châtillon-en-Diois. Guided private tours and free individual tastings are available on request.
The “Muséo'bulles” tour at Cave de Die Jaillance tells the legend of Clairette de Die, a unique sparkling wine. Every June, thousands of sheep walk through the streets of the town for Die’s traditional transhumance festival.
