The village of Montjoyer was established on the ruins of an earlier 11th-century monastery. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Montjoyer can therefore consider the village as a place to stay.
Culture
A stone gateway with a pointed arch marks the southeastern entrance to the village of Montjoyer. The village also has several covered passageways known as soustets.
The Saint-Barthélémy Chapel in the hamlet of Citelles in the municipality of Montjoyer was built in 1673. Its rubble-stone walls are made of limestone and sandstone, it has a tuff vault, and it follows a simple floor plan that has remained in use since the Romanesque period.
The Abbaye Notre-Dame d’Aiguebelle is a monastery founded by the Cistercian order in 1137, in a secluded valley surrounded by wooded mountains.
The Mémoire Agricole du Pays de Grignan Museum displays old agricultural tools and machinery. It also includes recreated interiors of a bedroom and a kitchen typical of rural life.

Hiking
The short, moderately difficult family circular hike Autour de l’Abbaye d’Aiguebelle is 3.4 km long, has a total elevation gain of 72 m, and starts and ends in Montjoyer. It includes some steep sections with wooden stairs.
There is a shop at the abbey site selling regional and monastic products, as well as a video room about monastic life at the abbey. Visits to the abbey are not offered; only the church is accessible.
