Chabrillan: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Chabrillan is situated on a hill and offers a viewpoint overlooking the Drôme Valley and its surroundings. The ruins of the Château de Chabrillan rise above the Drôme plain.
Culture
The Église Saint-Pierre is classified as a Monument historique under the 1862 list. Its choir with apses and transept dates from the 11th to 12th centuries, while the somewhat newer nave dates from the mid-12th century. The church stands on a site that has been used since antiquity and belonged to a priory under the Abbey of Saint-Thiers de Saoû in the Drôme.
The Château de Chabrillan consists of the ruins of a medieval fortified castle that was remodelled in the 16th century and abandoned in the 17th century. The Château de Chabrillan was listed as a Monument historique by decree of 21 October 1926.
The Église Saint-Julien was a seigneurial chapel built in the 13th century. It was destroyed around 1592 and restored several times, most recently in 2015.
Trails and Landscape
The botanical trail leads through medieval lanes to the peony collection at Place Pierre Barnier and to the Jardin des Amoureux. The “Senteurs et Pivoines” association manages Chabrillan’s botanical village and offers guided tours.
La boucle des écoliers follows paths formerly used by schoolchildren. It offers the opportunity to discover the hill villages of Chabrillan, Autichamp and La Roche-sur-Grâne in a varied landscape combining nature, cultural heritage, rural areas and modern elements.
Local Activities
Les Roves Nomades is a small artisan dairy and meat goat farm in Chabrillan, in the heart of the Drôme Valley. Visitors can tour the farm by prior arrangement. The farm produces 100% organic, artisan-made products, including cheese, ice cream, yoghurt, dessert creams and products made from goat kid meat.
