The Chapelle Saint Regis lies hidden at the top of a moraine amid beech and boxwood vegetation. It can only be reached on foot.

Nature and trails
The easy Chabotte loop trail leads through meadows and to several small hamlets. The “Les crêtes du col de Rousset” hike has a different character: it is 9.16 km long, includes 455 metres of elevation gain, takes 3 hours and 30 minutes, and is considered rather difficult. Its starting point is the car park at the Col de Rousset resort in Saint-Agnan-en-Vercors.
The Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors National Nature Reserve is characterised by a succession of mountain pastures and forests, as well as limestone plateaus and cliffs.
Culture and history
The forecourt of the Grotte de La Luire, designated a “Classified Natural Site”, is freely accessible. The Grotte de La Luire also offers a one-hour guided tour for a fee. The site was classified as national heritage on 20 May 1946.
The fortified settlement of Saint-Alexis is already mentioned in an agreement dating from 1253. The Chapelle Saint-Alexis was rebuilt on its older foundations in 1780.
L'hortus de la Vernaison grows aromatic and medicinal plants, as well as some fruit trees and berries, across two plots. The plants are mainly distilled to produce hydrosols and a small quantity of essential oil. L'hortus de la Vernaison processes the essential oils obtained there by hand on site and uses them to make superfatting soaps.
Activities
In winter, the Col de Rousset resort offers alpine skiing and snowshoeing for the whole family. In summer, its attractions include a rail toboggan run, a panoramic chairlift, downhill scooters and mountain biking activities.
