A special way to discover Allan is through Château Bizard: the wine experience extends from the vineyard to the wine, beginning among the rows of vines and continuing in the cellar with a tasting directly from the barrel. Château Bizard also offers sensory workshops introducing participants to wine tasting through scent games and taste discoveries. Château Bizard also hosts Les Scintillantes every year, a wine and music event in the Drôme provençale that attracts people interested in wine, music and experiences and includes a wine tasting in the château grounds.

Culture

The Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste in the old village of Allan was built between 1601 and 1620. The Notre-Dame d’Allan Chapel has been classified as a historic monument since 27 July 1924.

Trails and Landscape

The Vieil Allan orienteering area offers an easy, family-friendly course within the medieval ruins. Another course there is moderately difficult and focuses on history; QR codes convey the history of the site. The Vieil Allan orienteering area is open every day year-round and access is free.

Les Allantours is a family-friendly trail at the foot of the old village of Allan that leads through the surrounding area on small paths between vineyards and fields. Hiking trails from the medieval village of Allan pass through landscapes with olive trees, truffle oaks and lavender.

Les Hauts d’Allan is a 30 km red mountain biking route through the Allan forest and offers numerous viewpoints with a 180-degree panorama. The trail loop Tour des plateaux de la forêt d’Allan starts at the old village of Allan and leads through the Allan forest and across its plateaus. The trail loop Forêt d’Allan et Croix de Siméon starts at the medieval site of Allan, follows forest paths and ends at the Croix de Siméon.
