Hiking

The Armand Route No. 36 is a moderately difficult circular hike covering 9.76 km, with a stated duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. It starts and ends at the “Info Rando” sign on Rochepaule’s main street. After the D 214 road, the route initially heads right for 1 km and then follows the GR430. On a wide path, it follows the GR430 back to the pass near Rochepaule. The route passes through beech forests and offers a viewpoint at the Peyrhomme site.

The challenging long-distance hike Grand tour du plateau No. 30 passes through Rochepaule. In summer, you can picnic and swim at the Armand reservoir.

Culture

Rochepaule’s historic buildings preserve older architectural elements around openings, as well as numerous dates ranging from 1556 to 1784. The numerous springs and rivers of Rochepaule encouraged the town’s industrial development.
