The Église de Thines has been classified as a historic monument under the 1862 list. Notre-Dame de Thines is a 12th-century church built from light granite as well as red and beige sandstone.
Culture and History
The Vieille église de Malarce is a Romanesque church. The Monument à la Résistance is a sculpture carved directly into sandstone by the painter and sculptor Marcel Bacconnier. It commemorates six young resistance fighters who were killed on 4 August 1943.
The Maison du Gerboul offers guided cultural and historical tours of the village of Thines. At the Maison du Gerboul, visitors can also sample and discover local products such as jams, honey, goat's cheese, farmhouse terrines and chestnut products on site.
