The Porte de Villars is part of the fortified town wall of Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne, which was built between 1273 and 1321; it formerly had a drawbridge. The Ancien Hôpital et son Apothicairerie houses 120 faience vessels from Meillonnas, as well as a triptych completed in 1527.
