Mijoux: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The La Faucille–Les Deux Montronds route is a 7.7-kilometre circular hike that takes three hours. It offers views of Lake Geneva, the Alps and Mont Blanc. The route can be hiked from 1 April to 30 November.

Hiking and winter
The Val Mijoux chairlift connects the village of Mijoux with the Col de la Faucille, ascending from 1,000 to 1,320 metres. In winter, it gives hikers and snowshoers access to the peaks and ridges.
La Nicode is a circular trail in Mijoux on the edge of the Valserine. In winter, it can be used for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and sledging. The Mijoux–Chézery-Forens hiking route leads from Mijoux along the red-and-white-marked GR9 towards the Col de la Faucille and onwards to the Grand Mont Rond.
Culture and history
In the village of Mijoux and at La Faucille, the Circuit des fresques comprises 28 murals by Robert Bessard on houses. They depict professions from earlier times.
The Église Saint-Christophe et Saint-Jacques was built in 1760 in the municipality of Lajoux in the Jura département and also serves as the church of Mijoux in the Ain département in the Rhône-Alpes region. One of its bell tower’s bells, “Marie Jacqueline”, was cast in 1785 and is classified as a historic monument.
The Musée des pierres et du lapidaire in Mijoux traces the history of the craft of cutting fine and precious stones to the present day and displays an extensive mineral collection. Visitors can watch the production process through a glazed workshop.
Special experiences
In Cani-Biathlon, shooting at a target five metres away with a harmless laser rifle alternates with short runs during which a dog pulls the participants. The activity is available from the age of six when accompanied.
Qimmiq Aventure includes a visit to a park for polar dogs. Visitors can learn about the life of a pack and understand, touch and feed the dogs. In summer, Qimmiq Aventure also offers canirando excursions, and in winter, dog-sled rides. Participants can take part as passengers or sled drivers.
