Hiking and nature
The Circuit de la Michaille is a moderately challenging 12 km circular hike with a duration of approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes and 327 metres of ascent. It follows the botanical trail through the Arboretum d'Ardon. In clear weather, the route offers views of the Alps and the Jura and leads to the restored Chapelle Saint-Michel in Ardon.
The Sentier de l'Arboretum d'Ardon showcases 31 tree species planted between 1908 and 1935, as well as in 2024. The 2024 planting is testing eight tree species that are not widespread in forests and in France.
