Rochebrune: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Les 3 Lacs leisure park consists of a series of small lakes bordered by the wild waters of the Durance. The banks of the Durance around the Les 3 Lacs leisure park are designated as a Natura 2000 site. Nature

Rochebrune is one of the few villages in the département’s plain where vegetable gardens and orchards stretch along the banks of the Durance. On the way to the Chapelle Saint-Sixte, visitors can discover the tree species of the Forêt domaniale de Moyenne Durance. On the Le Bois du Plan circular trail, a single “demoiselle coiffée” can be seen at the Torrent Clapouse.

Activities

The Les 3 Lacs leisure park offers go-karting, paintball and the Fort-Gayard adventure course. Fishing is possible there all year round with a valid fishing permit. The Wild Durance route includes a 3 km section rated difficulty level II, from the Pont de Rochebrune to Les Trois Lacs.

Le Bois du Plan is a family trail: it follows the EDF canal of the Durance, crosses the Bois du Plan and runs through Rochebrune. The trail is classified as easy and suitable for families with children and beginners. The Boucle de Vière gravel route (VTT FFC no. 46) crosses the Durance via the Pont de Rochebrune (D951), then follows the Durance, passes through orchards and reaches Rochebrune.

Culture

There is a developed car park at the starting point of the trail to the Chapelle Saint-Sixte on the Route de Beaufort. The botanical trail to the Chapelle Saint-Sixte starts on the Route de Beaufort at the car park by the Torrent. The Chapelle Saint Sixte is a 16th-century chapel and was home to the oldest pilgrimage in the Diocese of Gap.
