La Grave: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Nature

There are two peaks in the vicinity of La Grave: Bec de l'Homme and Brèche de la Seille Vieille. La Meije, a mountain, is also located nearby; La Meije Pic Oriental is another peak there.

The Belvédère de la Meije is a viewing platform overlooking the valley. The Grotte de glace is a ten-minute walk from the mountain station of the Téléphériques des Glaciers de la Meije.

Winter

The Station village du Chazelet is a family ski resort in La Grave at an altitude of 1,800 metres. The Station village du Chazelet offers alpine skiing, ski touring and snowshoeing.

Culture

Notre-Dame de l’Assomption has been classified as a historic monument since 1959. The Notre-Dame de l’Assomption church was built in the 11th century.

The Via ferrata des mines du Grand Clôt runs through former mine shafts and access tunnels and leads onto the Plateau d’Emparis.

The Jardin botanique du Lautaret, a garden, is located near La Grave. In the wider regional surroundings of La Grave are Fort du Télégraphe, a fort, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne (Convent), a historic site, and Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne Cathedral, a church.
