Furmeyer: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Along the botanical trail The botanical trail, numerous information panels present plant species in the stages of flowering, fruiting and budding. The trail crosses very different habitats: Mediterranean habitats are located in the lower section, while alpine habitats can be found on the northern slope of Faï.

The 1 km round trip to the Garcine Mine follows a level path through a beech and fir forest and offers an impressive view of Furmeyer and the Veynois area. In Furmeyer, visitors can hike or cycle on roads, tracks and paths.

History

The Moulin de Jamone had stood at this location since 1810. It was a grain mill intended for milling the village's grain and was built by a landowner from Furmeyer.

Floodwaters from the Drouzet swept away the Moulin de Jamone in 1951; today, only the ruins of the adjoining house remain. The former Moulin de Jamone could only be reached via the Chemin du Moulin leading down from Furmeyer; this path is still used today as part of the botanical trail.
