Culture and History
Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon has a 16th-century church. In “Le Village Provençal”, visitors can explore the historic centre via calades, narrow, paved and winding lanes, as well as vaulted passageways. The forecourt of the parish church serves as a viewpoint over Lac de Sainte-Croix and the Grand Canyon du Verdon, visible in the distance.
The Maison de l’Eau et de la Vallée is housed in a former medieval château and serves as a historical and cultural interpretation centre. Its permanent exhibitions trace the lives of the valley's inhabitants before the profound transformation of the landscape in 1974 and explain the technical and human challenges involved in building the dam. They also reveal the remains of the municipality's former seigneurial past.

The Marché estival takes place every Tuesday morning at the Parking Bellevue on the lakeshore. Le Rucher de Para Loù offers direct sales of its products, tastings and explanations about beekeeping.
