Landscape and Nature
The Réserve naturelle régionale de Saint Maurin covers more than 20 hectares and is located above the right bank of the Verdon. This natural area features terraces with natural meadows formed on tuff deposits. Springs emerge from the rock face as cascades.
Public access to the Réserve naturelle régionale de Saint Maurin is free, but regulated. On foot, it may only be entered via marked paths.
Hikes and Panoramas
The Route des Crêtes panoramic road (D23) lies on the right bank of the Gorges du Verdon and forms a 23-kilometre loop.
The Sentier Blanc-Martel is a difficult hike of approximately 15 kilometres, with technical sections. It runs along the Verdon from the Chalet de la Maline in La Palud-sur-Verdon to Point Sublime in Rougon.
The Chemin du Belvédère de la Dent d’Aire is a difficult hike covering 8.2 kilometres. The round trip takes approximately three hours. The trail offers views of La Palud, the surrounding mountains and the Grand Canyon.
