Culture and History
The former village of Montclar was located on the summit now known as La Salette. A chapel and a clock tower can be seen there, both of which were built in the 19th century.
The Saint-Jean Chapel was built at the beginning of the 13th century by the Hospitallers of Saint John of Jerusalem; in 1644, they restored the chapel. The Saint-Léger Chapel was restored in 1968–1969. Its architecture is considered rustic Romanesque architecture from the 13th century. The Saint-Pierre Church in La Chapelle was built in 1555.
