Buxeuil: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Buxeuil is located on the banks of the Creuse. The Château de la Roche-Amenon borders the Creuse and has been fully protected as a historic monument since 21 October 2004. The protection covers buildings, courtyards, gardens, walls and the associated plots of land. The central building of the château was erected shortly before the French Revolution.

Nature

The Le Petit Sentier – Circuit No. 10 trail runs through fields and forests before reaching the banks of the Creuse. Classified as an easy hiking trail, it ends by the river at the Pont Henri IV and is one of the trails listed in the PDIPR.

Culture

The Église Saint-Pierre stands on the left bank of the Creuse and marks the crossing of the Creuse by the ancient road from Amboise to Poitiers. In the 19th century, it was rebuilt in a Neo-Romanesque style; the western building was preserved.

In the immediate vicinity of Buxeuil is the Église Saint-Pierre de Balesmes. The Le château de Marmande and Chateau de Mondion castles are located in the vicinity of Buxeuil. In the wider region around Buxeuil are the Château de Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine castle and the Parc de Boussay park.
