Culture and History
The Sunday market in Neuville-de-Poitou was first recorded in 1598. In the centre is the “Exposition Moto Vélo Rétro” exhibition in a former saltworks building. Its collection includes racing bicycles, a penny-farthing and historic motorcycles. Neuvil’en Jazz is presented in its 25th edition as a jazz and blues festival.
A former estate belonging to the Delestang family is said to date back to the 13th century. Visits to this former estate take place on certain dates and during the European Heritage Days. A still-visible surrounding wall, corner towers and a fortified gate are classified as historic monuments.

Nature and Activities
