Culture
The Château du Theil, including its outbuildings and immediate surroundings, is listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments; the château is already mentioned in the “Cartulaire de l’Absie” in 1154. The Church of Saint-Aubin was built in the Flamboyant Gothic style and has a cruciform layout. Construction was completed in 1547, a date inscribed on its keystone.
Near the Palais stands the village’s covered washhouse. It was built in 1922 and is an impluvium washhouse.
The English landscape park of Parc du Theil has been protected as a picturesque landscape site since 1946. It covers 200 hectares and consists half of meadows and ponds and half of deciduous woodland. Parc du Theil offers guided tours with commentary covering the château, the fishpond, the walled kitchen garden and the forest paths.

The accessible outdoor facilities for people with reduced mobility include a fishing pier, paths and outdoor toilets.
Things to Do
The “Balade au fil de l’eau” walking route starts at the church square and is 5.6 kilometres long. The Sentier du Palais is a shady path that follows the Palais for around 900 metres.
At the 3-hectare lake, visitors have access to picnic tables, children’s play equipment and a city stadium. The Chemin des Cracottes connects the lake with La Vrignaudière on the D139 and is around 800 metres long.
The Chemin des Loges is a path around 600 metres long that ends at the Palais.
