The Coulée d'Oc crosses Saint-Germain-de-Montbron along the Bandiat through a wooded landscape. The Église Saint-Germain is a Romanesque building dating from the 12th century, which was extended and remodelled in the 15th century.

Trails
The Coulée d'Oc runs along a former railway line between Angoulême, Nontron and Thiviers and was developed in Saint-Germain-de-Montbron as a cycle and walking path in 2008. Since 2018, the voie verte has formed part of national cycle route No. 92, LA Flow Vélo.
The signposting of hiking trails in Saint-Germain-de-Montbron was established in 2020. The trails run along paths listed in the departmental plan for walking and hiking routes (PDIPR). The PDIPR hiking trails start at the Saint-Germain-de-Montbron cemetery car park. The signposted hiking trails are not very demanding and are accessible to walkers, mountain bikers and trail runners.
Culture and Local Production
The Moulin de la Chaume is a 17th-century mill on the Bandiat that has preserved its historic mechanism for producing oil and flour. It has two waterwheels and a functioning Piguet steam engine. On request, it produces walnut and hazelnut oils as well as bread flour; oil is sold on site. The historic Abbaye de Fontaine Vive site is located in the vicinity of Saint-Germain-de-Montbron.
