The desire to rent a holiday apartment in Gondeville is part of personal travel planning.

Gondeville Church was open to visitors during the 2025 European Heritage Days.

The Mairie-Hôtel particulier is a residential building constructed in the 17th century by Izaac Laisné de Nanclas and Françoise Laisné, Dame de Gondeville. It has a mansard roof; inside, there is a stone staircase with balusters in the Louis XIII style.

The Tiffon building was constructed between 1875 and 1880 for the company Vert & Cie and is now open for tours.

Landscape and Enjoyment

Mainxe-Gondeville lies on the left bank of the Charente River. Part of the area consists of marshland in the southwest. The limestone soil of Mainxe-Gondeville has long favoured winegrowing for the production of Pineau and Cognac.

The tour of Braastad Cognac covers the history and production expertise of Cognac, distillation, ageing and blending in the cellars, as well as the cabinet of curiosities and a tasting.

River and Cycling

Trot'z Ride offers a one-hour river route on the gabarres, including a tasting at Maison Cognac Braastad.

The Jarnac tourist information office in Mainxe-Gondeville, which has been awarded the Accueil Vélo label, provides a bicycle repair kit, a nearby charging station for electric bicycles, a lockable bicycle shelter and bicycle parking.

Events

A season-opening event at Hippodrome du Quint in Mainxe-Gondeville on Sunday, 14 September featured harness racing and steeplechase races.
