The present-day church of Chaunac was rebuilt in the 17th century. The Church of Saint-Sulpice in Chaunac is crowned by an openwork bell tower. Its bell, cast in 1546, survived the 1548 revolt against the salt tax and bears the inscription “Saint « Supplice » de Chaunac” in the bronze casting.
