History
The apse of the Church of Saint-Martin was rebuilt in the 15th century. The Church of Saint-Martin in Saint-Martin-de-la-Coudre contains a carved altarpiece from the 18th century, which was protected as a historic monument in 1972.
The Château de Parançay has a gate pavilion from the 16th century, flanked by two cylindrical towers. The château is open daily all year round; admission is free.
Grand-Bernay was the site of a former Templar commandery, founded around 1230. Neolithic tools were found in the area of Bernay-Saint-Martin, and Roman roof tiles and mosaics were found in the presbytery of Bernay.
