The Church of Saint-Maxent preserves its Gothic choir from the 16th century. It houses a sculpture of the Virgin and Child created in 1857 by the artist Louis Duthoit, who came from Amiens. At the rear of the choir stands the statue of the Virgin and Child, known as „Immaculate Conception“.

The bishop's statue is located in the south transept next to the altar of Saint-Maxime in the Church of Saint-Maxent. It is made of carved and polychrome-painted wood and has been protected as an object since 8 June 1984. The church's bell tower was restored in the 19th century.

Culture

The chapel of Longuemort also bears witness to several reconstructions. After the French Revolution, it was rebuilt around 1860 by Auguste Danzel de Boismont; in 1923, it was rebuilt again for local worship. The chapel with its bell tower in Longuemort had been endowed with revenues by the local lords Jehan and Philippe de Longuemort from 1282 onwards.

Historically, pilgrimages associated with the Ecce Homo Chapel were undertaken to help children who learned to walk late or were suffering from fever.
