The Church of Saint-Pierre was destroyed during the First World War. In 1930, its reconstruction was entrusted to the architects C. Duval and E. Gonse; the choir was restored true to the original. The Saint-Laurent Tower dates from the 15th century.

The Church of Saint-Gilles was restored in 1926 under the direction of Charles Duval and Emmanuel Gonse and rebuilt by Duval and Gonse after the First World War. The stained-glass windows and mosaic decoration of the church, including the Stations of the Cross, are attributed to Jean Gaudin.

As early as the 11th century, the inhabitants of Roye decided to surround their town with city walls. The Chapelle Notre-Dame de Paix was located in the center of Roye’s former cemetery.

Nature

Parc Demouy was opened to the public in spring 1984 and is just a few steps from Roye’s town center. Parc André Coël is a green park with a play area and picnic tables. Roye also has a walking tour entitled “Tour de ville”.

Local

Roye’s weekly market takes place every Friday morning on Place Jacques Fleury and offers cheese, meat, fish, and vegetables.
