Culture
The Church of Saint-Nicolas in Beaumetz dates back to the 17th century. It houses two wooden statues from the same century depicting Saint Augustine and Saint Nicholas, which are classified as historic monuments. It also preserves a stone baptismal font from the 16th century.
The muches of Beaumetz are also part of the history of the village. These are underground refuge systems built by the population in the 15th and 16th centuries to provide protection from repeated invasions.
Three wayside crosses can be seen in the area of Beaumetz. The Lépine-Quillet family wayside cross dates from the mid-19th century and stands at the intersection of the main road and rue de Domart. The wayside cross commemorating Henri Douzenel dates from 1936 and stands on the path opposite the municipal cemetery. On a small path towards Bernaville, the Adrien Martin wayside cross commemorates the farmer from Beaumetz who was killed there by a lightning strike on 9 June 1910, in his 65th year, along with his two horses. The three wayside crosses of Beaumetz still bear copper or brass plaques recording the stories of farmers from the village.

Landscape
The development of the settlement of Beaumetz began after the clearing of the forest of Goyaval, now known as “bois de Ribeaucourt”. At the time of Gérard de Berny’s death, the Ribeaucourt woodland extended across the municipalities of Ribeaucourt, Beaumetz and Fransu and covered 362 hectares.

The circular hiking trail “Beaumetz – La Vallée sous le Bois” is 11.9 km long, has an elevation gain of 137 m and takes 3 hours and 12 minutes.
