Folleville: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The medieval fortress of Folleville overlooks the Noye valley. The Château de Folleville was rebuilt in the 14th and 15th centuries on the site of an earlier structure; the square keep is estimated to date from the 11th century.

Culture

By decree of 1 July 1992, the ruins of the Château de Folleville, the archaeological grounds of the castle and the guard pavilion were listed as historic monuments. The stair tower of the Château de Folleville ends in an observation turret that is 25 metres high.

The church comprises a medieval nave, Renaissance tombs and a Flamboyant Gothic choir. From May to September, it is open for visits every Sunday and on weekdays by appointment. As part of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela, the church of Folleville has been included on the UNESCO list.

Events

Les Médiévales de Folleville was first held in 2003 and will reach its 23rd edition in 2026. At Les Médiévales de Folleville, life in the Middle Ages is conveyed through demonstrations and audience participation. The event takes place across more than three hectares around the castle ruins and the church.

Guided tours of approximately one hour are offered by appointment throughout the year on the grounds of the Château de Folleville.
