Camon: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Hortillonnages have been cultivated in their present form for around 700 years. They consist of numerous alluvial islands surrounded by 65 kilometres of waterways, as well as drainage and irrigation channels.
The Hortillonnages extend across five municipalities, including Camon, Amiens, Lamotte-Brebière, Longueau and Rivery.
Culture
The parish church of Saint-Vast in Camon features a construction phase dating from the last quarter of the 16th century. In 1836, the church was extended with a brick side aisle.
The Festival international de jardins | Hortillonnages Amiens was founded in 2010 to support young landscape designers and artists.
Paths
The Chemin de Halage is a seven-kilometre circular route with leisure gardens and decorated bridges. It runs along the Somme through the heart of the Hortillonnages and, starting from Camon, Lamotte-Brebière or Parc Saint-Pierre, offers a walk by the water and the gardens of the Hortillonnages.
A footpath proposed by the Somme Tourist Board leads from Parc Saint-Pierre via Amiens, Camon and Rivery. The Circuit de la Canardière is an 11-kilometre hiking trail between Amiens and Longueau.
Orientation
The Marais des Bœufs offers picnic, play and fishing areas. Espace Gaston Gambier was created on the former site of the “Marais aux Bœufs” on the banks of the Somme between Camon and Longueau.
