Culture

Every year on Shrove Tuesday, the Bois Hourdy in Chambly marks the beginning of a festive period. The celebration includes a procession with three giant figures representing Saint-Louis, Blanche de Castille and Pierre le Hideux. The Bois Hourdy ritual ends with the tree being set alight, followed by a fireworks display.

Trails

The Chemin des Marais was awarded the “Explore Terre de Jeux” label by the Paris 2024 Olympic Games committee. Along the Esches watercourse, it symbolically offers 2,024 metres of walking trail between Chambly and Belle-Église.

The Parcours des sentiers Patrimoine is a 2.5-kilometre walking route designed as a micro-walk. The walking time is 45 minutes. The route is located at the Église, Place de l'église.
