Sainte-Cécile lies in the deeply carved and picturesque valley of Le Petit Lay. The river crosses the area diagonally, approximately through its middle, over a distance of around ten kilometres. Sainte-Cécile lies at the foot of Moulin des Bois hill. From this hill, you can discover a variety of appealing landscapes crossed by Le Petit Lay. The valley features wooded slopes, wet meadows and springs.

Culture

The church of Sainte-Cécile is a Neo-Gothic building constructed between 1893 and 1903. It has stained-glass windows and was listed as a historic monument in 2007. Sainte-Cécile also has typical Vendée farmhouses with enclosed courtyards.
