Trails and landscapes
The Longèves runs through Sérigné and flows into the Vendée. The Circuit du Gué runs through the Longèves Valley, which is narrow, winding or wide in sections and features numerous plant species. The route follows the valley to the Lavoir du rendez-vous in Sérigné.
Culture and history
The portal of the Église Saint-Hilaire dates from the late 12th century and is the oldest part of the building. The church features construction phases from the 12th, 13th and 14th centuries and was listed as a French historical monument by decree of 17 July 1989.
The Château de la Girardie was remodelled in the 19th century and appears to have been built in 1593 by a Girard de Beaurepaire. The château and its outbuildings were listed as historical monuments on 27 July 1988; the fireplace in the grand salon was partially classified as a historical monument on 18 October 1993. The estate includes a courtyard flanked by large corner towers, whose tower bases stand in the water of the former moats.
Sérigné is also home to the remains of sandstone millstones intended for flour production in windmills or watermills.
Events
The Astro-club organises public astronomy events. These include the Night of the Stars in early August, talks, public observations of eclipses or comets, and open-house evenings.
Rando Les Bosses Vendéennes takes place on the last Sunday in September and includes road cycling, mountain biking and hiking routes. In May, the Cyclo Club Sérigné organises a cycling race called the Grand prix de Sérigné.
Several visits to Pigelame in Sérigné announced for July and August 2026 included horse care and the sale of farm products.
