Saint-Germain-d'Arcé is located on the left bank of the Loir at its confluence with the Fare. The Fare crosses the village from southeast to northwest. The historic village centre lies on the left bank of the Fare in a natural river gorge.

Nature
Historically, five mills stood along the Fare in Saint-Germain-d'Arcé. The La Ronce mill is relatively well preserved.
Culture and history
The Dolmen d'Amnon is located in the La Ronce district of Saint-Germain-d'Arcé. It was classified as a Monument historique on 21 May 1976.
The Château de la Guérinière preserves various traces of its construction history: the residential wing is in ruins, and only one of the four historically documented towers remains. The residential wing, which was extensively remodelled at the end of the 17th century, retains bevelled doors and fireplaces dating from the late 15th century.
The Château d'Amenon has been used exclusively for private purposes since 2019. Its main façade appears to date from the 12th century. The oldest houses in the village are located on Rue des Brouettes near the La Chaise manor house.
The Église Saint-Germain is said to have been built on the foundations of an old castle. Its entrance portal dates from the 15th century. Several statues of the Virgin Mary are preserved in the church, including a protected statue made of carved wood.
Another historic object is the covered F4 carriage of the metre-gauge railway in Saint-Germain-d'Arcé. It was built in 1883 by the Ateliers de Marly and is classified as a protected cultural heritage object.
Hiking and leisure
There are four signposted circular hiking trails in Saint-Germain-d'Arcé. After crossing the Fare via Rue du Pont, the GR 35 reaches the centre of Saint-Germain-d'Arcé and continues from the village square to La Croix.
Two municipal tennis courts are also available free of charge for physical activity locally.
