The former church of Villedieu in Chantenay-Villedieu has been protected as a historic monument since 13 September 1984. Chantenay-Villedieu developed during the Gallo-Roman period from the estate of Cantenus.
Culture
The washhouse of Chantenay-Villedieu was planned in 1881 on the banks of the Deux-Fonts River as a building for around 30 washerwomen. Since then, items related to washing clothes have been collected in the rear section of the washhouse of Chantenay-Villedieu, near the fireplace. Visitors can view the installation through a grille in the open cemetery chapel. In the cemetery chapel, 35 marble plaques commemorate the soldiers who fell in the First World War of 1914–1918.
