Culture and history

The Chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Bois dates back to the 12th century. The Chapelle Notre-Dame des Bois houses the sculptural group “L'Education de la Vierge”. It dates from around the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries and has been classified as a protected historic object since 24 January 1979.

The Romanesque church of Saint-Julien also dates back to the 12th century.

Transport connections

La Suze-sur-Sarthe railway station is served by line 21, which connects Le Mans, Angers and Nantes.

Events

La Suze-sur-Sarthe has hosted the Printemps Poétiques for almost 30 years.
