The Église Saint Christophe de la Blouère was built in 1860 by the architect Albert Tessier, who came from Beaupréau. Its Neo-Gothic elements include pointed arches above the openings and foliage ornamentation on the small columns.

The Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Villedieu-la-Blouère has a foundation stone with a precisely dated history: on 29 August 1894, it was blessed by Mgr Pessard, Vicar General and Prelate of the Household of His Holiness. Crosses of the Knights Templar and the Order of Malta appear on two vault keystones and in paving motifs.
The Église Saint Christophe de la Blouère also contains ten medieval tombstones known as “Cénotaphes des Chevaliers de Malte”. Access to and visits of the church are possible exclusively by request; the tours are conducted by historian Yves Naud.
Spiritual sites
The larger Chapelle Saint Joseph du Chêne was built between 1866 and 1869 with the support of the residents of Villedieu-la-Blouère and consecrated on 30 August 1899. Part of the chapel was built within the crown of a pedunculate oak. A remarkable oak tree also stands by the Chapelle Saint Joseph du Chêne; its age is estimated at 2,000 years. In the chapel, visitors can view a white stone statue of Saint Joseph with the peacefully sleeping infant Jesus.
The Lourdes Grotto is located on the outskirts of La Blouère. After the war, every family from La Blouère donated working time to build the grotto as a permanent safeguard of Mary's protection.
Nature and trails
The “Des chênes et des landes” route is a 10-kilometre, yellow-marked hiking trail starting in Villedieu-la-Blouère. Along the route, visitors can discover several wooded areas in Villedieu-la-Blouère.
On the Sentier de l'Étang des Lavandières, visitors can submit observations about biodiversity while walking along the trail.
