Culture

The Church of Saint Martin was originally built as a modest chapel surrounded by forests. It has a Romanesque nave and a chancel dating from the 13th to 14th centuries. The nave of the church is made of rough flint rubble masonry.

Trails

The “Sentier du pont” circular hiking trail begins at the Place de la Mairie de Beauvau opposite the church. It is a family-friendly trail with a mostly flat route and leads mainly along forest paths.

The Dolmen des Mollières can be reached via an uphill path on the left-hand side of the road to Marcé and is located 800 metres from the church. It is the oldest monument in Beauvau.

Nature

The “la forêt” hiking trail leads through the sunken lanes of Beauvau and then into the Forêt de Chambiers. In winter, the trail is regularly flooded; it is accessible only from May to September.
