The Jardin de Rio Froment surrounds a château built in the 19th century on the Sillon de Bretagne, overlooking the Loire estuary. The private Jardin de Rio Froment is exceptionally open to the public during the Journées Européennes du Patrimoine and Rendez-vous aux jardins.
Lac de la vallée Mabile was created in 1918, when American soldiers built the dam to supply the military hospital in the town of Savenay with water. The Moulin de la Pâquelais mill bears the date 1545, the year it was built; in 1911, two floors were added to the original structure.
