Fercé: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Sentier de la Grée is a 10.7-kilometre circular route (PR) in Fercé. The trail runs along the Brutz River and leads to the highest point in the Loire-Atlantique department, at 116 metres.

The route profile includes 103 metres of ascent and 102 metres of descent. The Sentier de la Grée also reaches the edge of the Javardan Forest, which is characterised by oak, beech and pine trees. The route is classified as easy for hiking, mountain biking and horse riding.

Culture

A group of three protected statues is associated with the Church of Saint Martin in Fercé. The group comprises the three statues “Saint Margaret”, “Saint John the Baptist” and “Saint Eustace”. They were listed as protected movable cultural property on 18 February 1922.

The three statues date from the 18th or 19th century; their exact dating is unclear. The Church of Saint Martin in Fercé dates from 1702, was extended in 1850 and restored in 1934.

The Lanterne aux morts of Fercé was erected in 1921 as a memorial to the children who died for France.
