The Saint-Martin church combines several historical layers: the tower and the northern nave were built in the 16th century. The south wall was rebuilt in the late 17th century and bears the year 1699.
The furnishings also reflect different aspects of the local history. The church has 14 figurative stained-glass windows, on which the theme of fishing and fish is repeated. The bronze war memorial “Les Saints de la Patrie” for the First World War depicts a dying soldier supported by Joan of Arc.
Those who choose Saint-Martin-aux-Buneaux as a place to stay may perhaps wish to rent a holiday apartment there.
