History

A historical view of the Château de Riberpré near Forges dates from 1696. Notre-Dame-du-Thil was built in the 13th century and replaced an older church that had been granted to Bellozane Abbey in 1198 and destroyed in 1245.

The hamlet of Riberpré had a 12th-century church and a 16th-century château; both structures have disappeared. Some remains of the Château de Riberpré can be reached by walking down the sunken lane branching off from the D 919, which begins 500 metres before the railway bridge.
