Saint-Jean-Du-Cardonnay: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Culture and history
The parish church of Saint-Jean has a documented construction phase dating back to the 12th century. The cemetery cross associated with the church dates from the 16th century. The Notre-Dame-et-Saint-Jean-Baptiste chapel was founded in 1387 by Guillaume de Croixmare.
The cemetery cross is a Hosannière cross; its octagonal base bears Renaissance sculptures. Château Saint-Jean-du-Cardonnay also reflects several periods: it was built in the 17th century over the remains of a manor house dating from the 14th century. The grounds of Château Saint-Jean-du-Cardonnay also contained a German V1 launch site, from which 101 V1 rockets were fired.
Saint-Jean-du-Cardonnay is served by regional bus route 526, which runs between Yvetot and Rouen.
