Dame-Marie is home to historic buildings from different periods.
Culture
The Château de Couasme is part of the historic heritage: its main building was constructed in the 18th century, while the towers were built in the 19th century after 1823. The château grounds have been designated a “site inscrit” since 1973.
Another historic site is the Benedictine priory of Notre-Dame in Dame-Marie, which was founded in 1023. From the outside, the Église Notre-Dame features a Romanesque porch, a tower roof and a carved chimera. The former priory garden has also been preserved. The church can be viewed from the outside; an interior visit is possible on request.
The Lavoir-Fontaine of Dame-Marie is also part of the local architectural and everyday history. It combines a washhouse with a spring and dates from the 19th century. Its construction consists of wood and limestone, topped by a roof with flat tiles.

Paths through the Landscape
The Bellême–Berd'huis hiking trail is 23 kilometres long. It runs along country lanes and offers views through the hedgerows of the bocage landscape typical of the Perche. Its route crosses the plain to Dame-Marie.
