The commemorative stele “Stèle 83rd & 4th US Infantry Divisions” documents the contribution of the 83rd and 4th Infantry Divisions to breaking through German resistance and continuing the liberation of France. It commemorates the liberation of Sainteny after several days of heavy fighting.
