Sainte-Mère-Église: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
In Sainte-Mère-Église, church history, memorial sites and insights into the rural past come together. The church of Sainte-Mère-Église was begun in the Romanesque style in the 11th century and completed almost four centuries later in the Gothic style. Two of its stained-glass windows were donated in memory of the liberation.

In a former farm manor house, the Ferme-musée du Cotentin presents the everyday life and atmosphere of a grassland farm at the beginning of the 20th century. The grounds also include an outdoor trail with animals of Norman breeds, an apiary and the farmer’s kitchen garden. Further exhibitions explore the region’s agricultural history from the past to the present day. Also on display are horse-drawn and motorised machines that changed agricultural work.
