Nature
The Dunes de Pirou lie on both sides of Pirou-Plage. They form one of four dune zones within the sensitive natural areas protected by the département and are home to endemic plants, including the European orchid Orchis bouffon.

Hiking
The GR®223 reaches Pirou-Plage and then continues along the sea dyke. The trail passes through dunes before reaching the Havre de Geffosses. The GR®223 stage from Pirou-Pont to Coutainville-Plage is 19 km long.
Coast and Water
In Pirou-Plage, you can swim or go shore fishing on foot in the intertidal zone, depending on the tides. At low tide, it is possible to bathe in a pool of water there. When gathering shellfish and fishing along the coast, you can find swimming crabs, mussels, periwinkles and carpet shells on the sandy areas of Pirou-Plage.
From its chalet on the campsite esplanade in Pirou-Plage, Pirou Fun Beach offers jet ski excursions accompanied by a qualified instructor. At its base in Pirou-Plage, Pirou Fun Beach also offers stand-up paddleboard and kayak rentals.
Local Life
The Foire aux bulots takes place every year over a weekend at the end of April in Pirou-Plage. At the Foire aux Bulots, professional vendors sell seafood. The Foire aux bulots was founded in Pirou in 1996.
