Culture and History

The Church of Notre-Dame de Sacquenville was built between the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th century. It has been listed as a historic monument since 10 March 1944. Its furnishings include a stone Madonna and Child dating from the 14th century. The church also has a stone rib vault in the nave, to which a side aisle is attached.

Another part of the town's history is the Charitons Brotherhood of Sacquenville, which existed as a charitable association from 1608 to 1916. The Charitons tradition involved accompanying the sick, organising funerals and helping those in need.

The annual events calendar includes the traditional Christmas play by Les Lutins de Sacquenville. It is free of charge and takes place every year on the weekend before Christmas. The Midsummer bonfire organised by Les Lutins de Sacquenville is also held annually as a social event.
