Culture and history
Hauville is home to the Church of Saint-Paterne, featuring Norman architecture, a Romanesque nave from the 12th century, as well as a transept and a southern side aisle from the 16th century. Its furnishings include a twelve-stop organ built by Pierre Leduc between 1863 and 1868. The church also welcomes the public for concerts.
The Moulin de Pierre in Hauville dates back to the 13th century and is located in the Boucles de la Seine Normande Regional Nature Park. Its roof structure can be rotated and is aligned according to the wind direction. From March to October, the Moulin de Pierre offers individual and group visits, as well as guided tours, demonstrations and workshops for families, schools and leisure facilities, by prior reservation.
The Château Saint-Paul was built in the mid-18th century in the hamlet of Bellemare. In January 1966, it was severely damaged by a fire on all floors; the château was restored from 1979 onwards.
